SOFTWARE ENGINEER

As a Software Engineer, you will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Transportation Security Administration (TSA's) for the Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service (LE / FAMS) portfolio and their mission by providing a full range of system and application design, Agile software development, application production support, and information technology infrastructure services. The scope includes discovery, technical and solution design, development, production support, and program management services.

Responsibilities

Automate application deployment processes
Run and assess Fortify security scans, resolving any findings
Design Power BI dashboards to increased agency compliance
Utilize Quartz Job Scheduler to send periodic automated emails
Develop SQL scripts and views in Microsoft SSMS to modify application data
Write Unit Tests to help achieve application code coverage goals
Resolved over accessibility and 508 compliance issues using ANDI
Update JavaScript libraries to prevent security risks
Utilize React, MobX, and AWS Lambda to build serverless applications for enhanced scalability
Other duties as assigned

Education/Certification Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 compliant baseline certification (e.g. CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP) or higher

Qualifications Required

Minimum of 4 years of full-stack software engineering experience across frameworks and cloud platforms
Proficient in building serverless apps with React and AWS Lambda
Experience with delivering high-quality software that meets or exceeds user requirements
Hands-on experience with SQL and Java scripting and Power BI
Experience with security scanning and procedure requirements

Clearance Required

Active DHS EOD or TSA Suitability clearance
