Interested in working with people with mental illness?

We are currently looking for a Recovery Companion (Ex-In) (m/f/d) or equivalent qualification for part-time outpatient care (520 euros per month), limited until December 31, 2023.

The social psychiatry division supports people with mental illness.

In the team of the Alstertreff and Der Kessel meeting points, around 100 clients are cared for in their own homes or shared apartments.

The meeting points are located in the northern part of Hamburg, near the Ohlsdorf and Kiwittsmoor train stations. The highly interdisciplinary team provides support within the framework of integration assistance and integrated care.


Your profile:

  • You have completed the Ex-In training.
  • You are interested in working with people with mental illness.
  • You are excited to work in a team with diverse professions.
  • You are interested in designing group activities.
  • You have a strong interest in promoting people's independence and accepting their own life patterns.
  • You are interested in working with social pedagogical and nursing professionals, as well as support staff.

Your tasks:

  • You design group activities at the meeting points.
  • You support people in understanding their illness.
  • You advise people on how to deal with their illness and resulting problems.
