Job DescriptionThe Product Engineer is responsible for managing all technical and engineering matters concerning
assigned products, including, if assigned, the direction and supervision of resources.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or closely related discipline.
Self-starter and attention to detail.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and CAD design software.
Ability to design components using engineering principles and standard practices.
Ability to read, draw, and check component and assembly drawings using computer aided design software.
Solid analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Effective and professional organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work alone and in teams.
Experience with hydraulic pumps, motors and systems, a plus.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Product Engineer is a position important to the success and growth of the company.This position will provide exemplary professional conduct, technical expertise, project management, communications and documentation.The Product Engineer will develop skills to represent the company in the marketplace, including provide prompt technical support to stakeholders internal and external.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Production and Procurement Department with accurate bill of materials and work instructions to effectively procure components and produce pumps, motors, and valves.
Effectively communicate technical information to stakeholders internal and external to ensure smooth business operation and success.
Understand the design principles of pumps, motors, and valves.Guide stakeholders toward proper use of assigned components.Understand limits and safe operating zones.
Design special features to meet local market demands where acceptable ROI.
Prepare product of bill of materials and engineering changes notices.Use business tools or other technical documents to understand and prepare documents.Use business systems to ensure effective communication to internal stakeholders.
Effectively use computer aided design software to draft and/or check 2D and 3D component and/or assembly drawings.Promptly and securely communicate information to customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
Promptly and accurately respond to customer and internal stakeholders on detail technical information on pumps, motors, and valves.Use catalogs, technical manuals, and engineering drawings to quickly find required information.
Design special components using engineering design principles and best practices to design.Prepare and maintain design calculations.Draft detail drawings using computer aided design software.Distribute to internal stakeholders and/or suppliers.Approve supplier processes, materials, and practices adequate to meet design requirements.
