    Position Summary:

    Manages, plans, and directs the work of other project scheduler team members within assigned group. Functions as the lead project scheduler for larger more complex projects. Considered to be a subject matter expert (SME) with Primavera Project Manager tool and related modules.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for assuring compliance with the Project Execution Plan
    • Performs scheduling functions such as preparing logic-driven, resource-loaded schedule reports, critical path analysis, earned value analysis and resource usage
    • Submits and explains the reporting metrics to project team members and management for use in making project-specific decisions
    • Develops and maintains Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and resource loading
    • Incorporates major milestones and critical client constraints
    • Monitors change, especially as it pertains to float and contingency
    • Effectively uses coding to meet the needs of various reporting
    • Directs planning and scheduling functions as requested by Project Controls Manager
    • Provides assistance to Scheduling Manager in the preparation or revision of department procedures, policies and training programs
    • Participates in client, internal project management and departmental meetings, to include delivering presentations
    • Responsible for following corporate safety protocols

    Complexity, Decision-Making, Problem-Solving & Nature of Impact (i.e., Scope):

    • Independent decision making
    • Understands each project's Project Execution Plan
    • Understands and interprets reports generated for analysis, and the impact to the project
    • Determines project anomalies and reports to project team for resolution
    • Solid understanding of all areas of the business with regard to project planning and scheduling
    • Understands the finance and accounting system (JD Edwards) and the timekeeping and expense system (TESS) as it relates to project scheduling
    • Supports the efforts of project teams

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Advanced knowledge of Project Management Processes (PMI)
    • Advanced knowledge of cost, scheduling, and change management
    • Ability to plan a project's scope of work to assist project management team build and baseline project schedules
    • Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to initiate teamwork, exercise good judgment, lead, organize and prioritize project work load for self and others
    • Ability to maintain strict baseline control
    • Demonstrates a willingness and ability to learn new processes and software
    • Advanced level analytical skills
    • Ability to prepare written, graphical and technical information from all aspects of the schedule (i.e. histograms, S-curves, deployment schedules, etc.)
    • Advanced knowledge of schedule risk analysis using PertMaster
    • Knowledge of estimating processes, resource allocations, cost control processes and overhead allocations

    Management Responsibilities:

    • Supervision of Project scheduling team personnel

    Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications):

    • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) required
    • Typically seven plus years of experience related to project planning and scheduling
    • Knowledge of onshore and offshore engineering and design industry required
    • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
    • AACEi certification preferred
    • Advanced knowledge of Primavera Enterprise software (version P6) required
    • Microsoft Office experience required
    • JD Edwards experience preferred

    Environment/Working Conditions:

    • Most work to be performed in office environment with periodic visits to project sites and/or short term field assignments
    • Some travel required

    Other Considerations/Requirements:

    • Ability to sit for long periods of time; manual dexterity; may stand for prolonged periods of time
    • Valid driver's license required

    • Reports to Scheduling Manager
