Description

Eligible to work with families receiving Child Health Support (CHS) services, and to provide family skills support to families receiving Individual Service Option (ISO) services.


Duties:


  • Coach parents on emerging skills during visits
  • Supervise and document developing skills, as well observed opportunities for growth and additional skill development
  • Support families in connecting to longterm community resources
  • Provides psychoeducational services on family related matters, such as: child development, parenting, life skills, home management, personal problem solving and accessing community services as appropriate.
  • Provides necessary transportation and supervision to facilitate family visitation
  • Maintains necessary assessments and documentation in accordance with agency and funding source requirements.
  • Participates in all required meetings, including court hearings

Completed high school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years' experience working with families OR:


  • Completed associates degree in a related field plus 2 years' experience working with families OR:

Completed bachelor's degree in a related field:

  • Previous experience in child welfare, childcare, or related field preferred.
  • Must have own vehicle, current Driver's License, mobile insurance with 100,000 / 300,000 coverage, and a valid vehicle registration and inspection
  • Strong understanding of child development, family life skills, behavioral health, and traumainformed care.
  • Ability to interact effectively and collaborate with families, colleagues and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural differences
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Computer and database skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
  • Must be cleared via Criminal Background and Driving History review upon hire

Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
