    INTRODUCTION TO AM GENERAL

    PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support ECP projects
      • Ensure adherence to budget
      • Maintain schedule
      • Coordinate agendas, read aheads, and minutes
      • Collaborate with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to facilitate changes
      • Validate changes through prototyping, installation, and testing
    • Engage in systems engineering meetings and process enhancement
    • Forecast alterations in projects
      • Learn basics of Human Systems Integration (HSI) and complete at least one HSI assessment
      • Submit at least one Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) impacting Systems Engineering
      • Conduct Human Systems Integration (HSI) / Human Factors Engineering assessments
      • Assess and track requirements
      • Analyze Change Proposal impacts on Systems Engineering
      • Provide engineering support including requirements, software discussions, prototype design, and vehicle platform development
      • Hands-on tasks involve physical truck development, requirements evaluation, vendor discussions, print reviews, and preparation for meetings with Government representatives

      • KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

      • Preferred fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Systems Engineering, Human Factors Engineering
      • Strong mechanical aptitude
      • Familiarity with 2D and 3D modeling software
      • Currently enrolled in college at Junior or Senior level
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

      PHYSICAL EFFORT

      • Sight: ability to read computer screens, reports, and documents with precision, utilizing close and distance vision with color perception and focus adjustment
      • Hearing: capacity to hear clearly for effective communication
      • Hand-Eye Coordination: coordination of eyes with hands, fingers, wrists, or arms for task execution
      • Manual Dexterity: skilled and agile movement of hands and arms for object manipulation
      • Agility: flexibility and body movement for job tasks
      • Climbing / Kneeling: occasional need for climbing, kneeling, bending, or stooping with balance
      • Lifting: ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds independently
      • Physical Strength: capability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using various muscle groups
      • Stamina: endurance for physical tasks over prolonged periods

      WORKING CONDITIONS

      • Physical Location: role involves both office and manufacturing plant settings with varying work conditions
      • Teamwork: collaborative environment for workplace efficiency
      • Listening Skills: comprehension of machinery operation for safety and task accuracy
      • Ability to follow instructions: adept at following varying instructions from managers
      • Methodical approach: systematic approach to ensure smooth production line operation
      • Concentration: focus on repetitive tasks for quality control purposes and efficiency
