    Description

    R&D Engineer II/Senior R&D Engineer (title flexible) job opportunity with a fast-growing 15-person medical device incubator start-up company.

    Location: Campbell, CA

    Devices: Neurovascular & Peripheral Vascular Catheters, clot-retrieval aspiration catheters

    They recent received 510K approval on flagship device, and have some new applications in development.

    FT/Perm position, full benefits

    Competitive Base Salary + Very Generous Stock Options (stock could net up to $200-250K when the reach milestones)

    Job Focus: Design and development of new iterations, prototyping, documentation, design V&V, product testing, very hands-on role. Will work closely with small R&D team and report to a R&D Principal Engineer.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • BS Engineering Degree, Mechanical or Biomedical preferred
    • 3-5+ years medical device experience with interventional catheter-based devices.
    • MUST HAVE medical device experience

    Additional Notes: I met with the company last week and saw a demo of their system. The unique catheter construction is unlike anything else out there It has a very smooth transition between stiff & flexible sections of the catheter, which helps reduce kinking. It also adds better pushability to reach further into complex regions.

    They also just raised ad additional $20MM in private funding, so they're expanding into a new facility 4x their current size.

    The founder of the company has launched and exited multiple startups over the past 15 years, and all have had successful exits
