Pharmaron (Boston) is seeking a talented Scientist III to join our Bioanalytical Laboratory team in Woburn, MA. You will work as part of a team to complete client/sponsor driven projects.


Primary responsibilities:


  • Leading development and Validation of new assays including Gxp assays
  • May be serving as Principal Investigator (PI) for multiple projects as assigned
  • Contributing to study design, execution, and troubleshooting of projects both internally and in
collaboration with clients.

  • Acting as a technical and administrative lead for studies; reviewing all documentation related
- to study execution.

  • Authoring and reviewing Protocols, Reports, Deviations, and Audit responses.
  • Training Scientists on techniques and assays and providing technical assistance to assigned
research staff.

  • Supervising up to three direct reports.
  • Performing a QC function to review data and reports to ensure the accuracy of all laboratory related processes.
  • Providing high quality documentation of all lab related activities, including, for example, assay
batch record, sample inventory, etc.

  • Maintaining regular communication with quality, scientists, PIs, and other project staff as well
as external clients.

  • Adhering to all laboratory standards as defined in each written SOP.
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, with 4 to 6 years of pertinent experience or Master's degree with 2 to 4 years of applicable experience.
  • Experience with immunoassays and cellbased assay techniques like ELISA, MSD, WB, Luminex is critical
  • Knowledge of immunogenicity assays, PK/PD and biomarker
detection is required

  • Strong background with GLP and cGMP standards, along with handson experience in assay development and validation, is obligatory.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, adept at multitasking, and a collaborative spirit to effectively contribute within a team for project completion.
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the capability to function autonomously in a teamoriented setting.
  • Actively engage in client meetings to provide valuable insights and contributions.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office tools, encompassing Word, Excel (including formulas, graphs, and charts), and PowerPoint, is required.
