- Value Proposition: Oversee consultants conducting grid modeling studies to demonstrate project value in our transmission development portfolio; conduct ad hoc analyses to support projects and uncover new opportunities.
- Storytelling: Utilize model outputs and historical data on power markets and weather to effectively communicate project benefits to internal and external stakeholders; collaborate with potential customers and stakeholders to develop and conduct analyses justifying project involvement.
- Market Insight: Monitor information on potential customers and markets, stay updated on utility integrated resource plans, market design changes, and other initiatives to shape our commercial strategy.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree.
- Industry Experience: 2+ years of experience at an energy project developer, consultant, utility, or trading firm working with electricity products or conducting wholesale power market analysis.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to establish relationships and communicate effectively across different disciplines.
- Adaptability: Capacity to adapt and be flexible in managing deadlines, uncertainty, and project changes.
- Modeling Skills: Understanding of fundamental or statistical models of electricity markets, experience with production cost modeling or resource adequacy modeling software such as PLEXOS, Aurora, PROMOD, SERVM.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using a programming language for data manipulation and analysis (e.g., Python, R, SQL).

With patient capital backing from experienced energy leaders, Grid United is in a rapid-growth phase, with a dedicated team of motivated individuals. Currently, we are expanding our Commercial Analytics team and are looking for an enthusiastic analyst or associate to contribute to shaping the value proposition and commercial strategy for our long-distance transmission projects.
