Position Summary

The Movement Disorders Division at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in the Department of Neurology is seeking to recruit a Variable Hours Officer (NP) to provide Palliative Care to patients with Parkinsonism, movement disorders, and neurodegenerative disorders.

Responsibilities:

As part of our multidisciplinary team, independently assess and oversee care of patients with Parkinsonism, movement disorders, and neurodegenerative disorders.

Provide consultations for advanced care planning and palliative care for these patients, via in-person visits and/or telemedicine. Establish good rapport with patients and families and address clinical messages via phone or patient portal. Accurately document patient encounters in the EHR, and bill for services provided.

Other related duties as assigned/required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required plus four years of nursing experience in addition to a current New York State NP and RN license.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree preferred.

Training/Fellowship in Palliative Care.
