Position Summary
The Senior Laboratory Associate is a multifaceted role with responsibilities across both R&D and Manufacturing.

This position has primary responsibility for the production of catalog, bulk and custom products used internally as well as those sold directly to customers.

The Senior Laboratory Associate is also responsible for technical leadership, continuous improvement, and training of less experienced personnel.
What You Will Do**- Complete antibody production projects to generate catalog and specialty bulk/custom bulk materials.


  • Perform various methodologies in conjugation of proteins to other proteins and conjugation of proteins to nonprotein molecules, including solid phase supports.
  • Manage data associated with tracking project status, including complete data entry to relevant production documentation, and implement project efforts according to prioritization
  • Analyze information & data in production records to define necessary steps associated with processing different assigned project materials.
  • Maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment, including pH meters, spectrophotometers, concentrators, and peristaltic pumps.
  • Work with other Bulk & 2ndry personnel to ensure laboratory is stocked with necessary materials & reagents, including bulk/tank buffers used for processing materials throughout the facility.
  • Implement appropriate health
- & safety-related measures, according to training, when performing all laboratory tasks.

  • Perform other teamsupport functions on an asneeded basis, e.g., carboy/dish washing, cleaning lab benches, clearing commonuse lab space of unneeded materials, generating electronic records, changing dialysis buffers, preparing/loading/processing gels for electrophoresis, etc.
  • Crosstrain with other functions within the department in order to maintain business continuity
  • Carry out routine tasks accurately, following established SOPs.
  • Perform dilutions of antibody stock material for vialing resupply and orders.
  • Ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, which may not be listed above
  • Requires working with blood products, hazardous chemicals, mammalian cells, and tissues
  • May be required to work overtime on occasion depending on business need

Preferred educational and experiential background:


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant scientific field and/or relevant product knowledge and experience.
  • 3+ years' work experience in a protein manufacturing environment or equivalent
  • Experience in a broad range of protein purification and characterization techniques including but not limited to manual and automated large
- and small-scale chromatography, upstream and downstream bioprocessing, and immunoassays.
