Description
Duties:
Under the supervision of the Director, Field Operations, support the overall objectives of Joni and Friends' U.S. Ministries (USM) department.
Perform duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Develop Training Programs
Maintain a Lead Like Jesus culture throughout the training programs
Assess and identify USM training needs for the purpose of fulfilling the biblical commission, vision, and mission of Joni and Friends
Plan, design, and implement training programs for USM staff and Area Teams
Provide engaging communication to encourage staff and volunteer participation in training programs so that Area Ministries can effectively implement the Reach, Care, Connect strategy
Create Training Content
Coordinate with the Senior Leadership Team and Instructional Designer on training content and delivery methods
Establish quality controls to ensure proper training content implementation
Build a Training Schedule
Develop and coordinate a comprehensive USM training schedule for staff and Area Teams
Ensure USM training schedule does not conflict with ministry-wide and department calendars and initiatives
Foster Integration
Collaborate with The Center (Office of Leadership Development, Diversity & Belonging, interns, and online education) for integration and alignment
Collaborate with other International Disability Center (IDC) departments as needed
Conduct Analysis
Collect participant and staff feedback to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
Use data analytics to determine training success and needs
Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs.
Qualifications:
Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith.
Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
Requires a minimum of 3 years' experience creating and delivering training
Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and experience
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Can effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of tasks with varied deadlines
Must be detail
oriented, committed to accuracy, a team player and self-starter who is flexible and able to work independently
Must be able to maintain confidentiality
Strong general computer skills are necessary along with a competent, working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and the Internet
Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
Compensation is $73,000 - $83,000 per year. The compensation listed is a national benchmark, and may vary slightly depending on the location of the candidate.
