Duties:

As a MISSION SUPPORT ANALYST (SECURITY/SCI) at the GS some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Conducts studies and provides advice to Division and Branch Chiefs and members and assists with planning and directing the effectiveness of a variety of operation functions and programs.
  • Plans, budgets, develops, integrates, executes, and evaluates the effectiveness of operational elements of all security programs and providing oversight of all collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program security functions conducted within Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Operations Directorate.
  • Maintains essential collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program, security information including establishment, documentation, security plans, access rosters, and security inspection records.
  • Plans, analyzes, recommends, integrates, advocates, and coordinates activities associated with Special Access Program and sensitive compartmented functions.
  • Advises Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Operations Directorate personnel on classification, declassification, downgrading, and upgrading of classified material

  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

Qualifications:


  • You may qualify at the
    GS13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the
    GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Planning, organizing, and developing studies or projects and negotiating effectively with senior decision makers to accept and implement recommendations where the proposals involve substantial resources or may be in conflict with previous guidance actions;
  • Developing methods of evaluating effectiveness of planning and/or acquisition events as related to actual timelines and events to accomplish assigned special projects and analyses;
  • Utilizing pertinent security laws, regulations, policies, treaties, and precedents which affect planning and/or acquisitions and related resources for the issues analyzed.
  • Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience._

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
