Position Summary :

The Test Technician II will be responsible for the testing and troubleshooting of products developed by our company for public release.

In this role, you will be required to conduct, document and report testing done to products under development and/or production as well as provide advice and feedback to relevant stakeholders.

The successful technician must possess strong knowledge of electrical principles with strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Testing products for safety, capacities, compliance, and performance.
  • Examining and investigating specific aspects and components of products in question.
  • Compiling reports on findings and testing data gathered.
  • Providing recommendations and advice to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintaining lab and testing equipment regularly.
  • Discussing and consulting findings with other team members and/or engineers.
  • Implementing changes in testing protocols and procedures as required.
  • Consulting with management on testing and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Troubleshooting/Repairing/Retesting customer RMAs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
  • Familiarity with hazardous material handling, ESD, FOD programs, and calibration.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Associate's degree in an electronics based study, and/or in non-destructive testing, applied technology, or similar. Certification or relevant work experience as a testing technician or similar role will suffice.
  • 5 or more years' experience as a production test technician, product tester or similar role.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and execute written test procedures and work instructions.
  • Analytical thinking and abilities.
  • Discrepancy Report writing and document analysis skills.
  • Ability to work with data and numbers.
  • Problemsolving skills and decisive knowledge of appropriate testing methods.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Comfortable with industryspecific testing equipment and software.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A610 and/or IPC/WHMA-A620A a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is constantly required to communicate. The employee will be frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Frequently required prolonged periods in stationary position at a desk entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard.

The employee is occasionally required to move, position self, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally transport up to 75 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers, far visual acuity, and peripheral vision.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Salary Range

$70, $90,000.00
