The Role
The Benefits Analyst position will handle a range of duties related to the pension and disability plans for the Americas and LATAM countries.
Plan Administration
- Responsible for supporting endtoend administration of pension, retirement, and disability plans, including enrollment, eligibility plans, and communication with plan participants.
- Oversee the process for new hires, ensuring timely and accurate enrollment in the benefit plans.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing and sustainable processes to enhance the employee and administrative experience.
- Coordinate benefits for international assignees or expatriates, ensuring seamless transitions between countries.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulations affective benefit and retirement plans to recommend improvements or changes.
- Ensure plans adhere to federal and state regulations, such as ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act).
- Prepares reports to ensure compliance with the Employee Retirement Income and Security Act (ERISA), which includes preparation of 5500's and summary annual reports. Also gathers the data required for the vendors to prepare annual nondiscrimination testing; analyzes results for accuracy and assists in corrective action if needed.
- Ensure the processing of pension and disability claims is reviewed and processed in a timely manner.
- Conducting audits of benefits packages and policies to ensure that the company's processes are compliant.
- Analyze plan data to identify trends, track performance and make recommendations for plan improvements.
- Performs benefit plan audits monthly and follows up to complete plan changes as necessary.
- Assist in monitoring the benefits programs expenses to ensure they stay within budget.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Work with external vendors, including thirdparty administrators and insurance providers to support benefit plans.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to pension, retirement, and disability plans.
- Work collaboratively with the appropriate team members to address the complex issue to find a resolution for employee related issues and/or concerns.
- Communicate benefits information to employees, including enrollment periods, changes to benefits, and educational materials.
- Work with external vendors, including thirdparty administrators and insurance providers to support benefit plans.
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information discreetly while supporting employees.
- Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to identify inconsistencies in data.
- Demonstrates the ability for responsiveness and a sense of urgency when helping our employees.
- Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
- Ability to work with crossfunctional teams, including HR, finance, and other departments within the organization.
- Flexible and able to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and respond quickly to changing priorities.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Word, PPT etc.), and Workday skills.
