Description
Established in 1926, Family Service League is a social services agency that offers a wide range of services to help individuals, children, and families enhance their lives both at home and in the community. Operating across more than 20 locations, the organization is dedicated to supporting Long Island's most vulnerable residents.
SUMMARY
Family Service League is in search of a full-time Counselor for the Family Recovery Center (FRC) located in Bay Shore. The center delivers individual and group therapy to individuals and families affected by substance abuse. The Counselor will collaborate with external agencies and resources, offer referrals, and ensure follow-up on services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent is a must
CASAC/CASAC-T certification or related education is required
Minimum of 2 years' experience with substance use disorders is necessary; familiarity with co-occurring disorders is a plus
Experience working with adolescents and teens may be needed
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; familiarity with Electronic Health Records is beneficial
Ability to work in a team and collaborate with referral sources is critical
Preferred proficiency in Spanish
