The Work
This position is for Manager of the Hardware Engineering Labs located in Moorestown, NJ.
This manager will report directly to the Senior Manager of the Sensors Mechanical Design and Test organization and be responsible for:
- Achieving business commitments
- Providing engineering laboratory infrastructure support to all Moorestown programs; and operate, supervise and maintain (12) twelve stateoftheart laboratories.
- Providing technical, programmatic and administrative leadership to a group of 20+ engineering technicians
- Administrative tasks including overhead budgets, capital appropriations, employee hiring & discharging, employee development and skills training, employee performance appraisals and any disciplinary actions.
- Leading and ensuring that the group follows the appropriate standards, processes, procedures applicable to the build and test of hardware.
- Creating and maintaining staffing plans, coordinate staffing forecasts and develop the appropriate skills mix for the group.
- Coordinating activities with lab managers at other sites and support engineering efforts across the Sensors and Effectors Integrated Engineering organization.

Basic Qualifications:
- A technical undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is required for this position.
- Experience managing Engineering Laboratories supporting the development of Radar System hardware. Key laboratory capabilities include full electrical characterization, full mechanical qualification, I&T, enditem acceptance test, reliability/life testing, MMIC device wafer probe test, complete component to subsystem characterization, full antenna pattern verification, subassembly build, rapid prototyping, capability, firmware and algorithm development, cabinet assembly & test, and PROM programming capability.
- Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at both programmatic and technical levels with subordinates, senior management and customers.
- Demonstrated proficiencies managing overhead budgets, developing capital budgets
- Understanding of the development and testing of Radar System hardware.
- The ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in digital transformation of hardware development and production processes and/or related experience with process improvements.
- Green belt certification.

Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
