Under the supervision of the Director of Revenue Cycle, the Patient Account Supervisor will work closely with the Patient Account Managers to provide support in project management, training, analysis and personnel.

Position will work at our Atwater Administration Office, schedule is Monday - Friday, from 8:00am - 5:00pm.

$66, $73,798.40 Salary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates effective communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Supervision and oversight of tasks in areas of assignment.
  • Creation, scheduling and running of standard ad hoc reports.
  • Data collection for Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and ticketing.
  • Aid in support and coordination of projects and training.
  • Perform supervisory duties, including but not limited to staff timekeeping, evaluations, and performance management.
  • Ensure staff duties are completed accurately; providing support, assistance, guidance and resources as needed.
  • Reports learned needs to aid in training and process updates to ensure accuracy of the department's work.
  • Collaborates with credentialing department to ensure providers are contracted with payers for billing purposes.
  • Collaborate with Director of Revenue Cycle & billing management on a monthly basis on development of any needed corrective action to improve processes.
  • Assists with employee evaluations input.
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Physical Demands

  • Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and push up to 50 pounds (on wheels) on rare occasions.
  • Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served inperson, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff.
  • Must have vision with or without lenses that is adequate to read memos, a computer screen, personnel forms and clinical and administrative documents.

Work Environment
The physical environment requires the employee to work indoors, primarily in an office setting. The noise level inside is quiet to average. Use of general office equipment is required on a daily basis. Travel may be required at times.


Education/Experience Requirements

_Minimum Qualifications:
_


  • Knowledge of RVS, ICD10 and CPT coding.
  • Proficient in knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, and third party billing and collections.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with and supervise personnel.
  • Ability to enforce patient collections policies while maintaining a polite and professional demeanor.

_Education/Experience:
_


  • High school diploma/equivalent.
  • Associates Degree in Health Information Technology preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in medical billing and collections.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
