Educational and Experience Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Higher Education, Management or related field. Six years of experience in a related field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Performs complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in operations and planning within Student Account Services. Assists the Director and Associate Director with various initiatives and objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Assists the Director and Associate Director in Student Account Services operations. Provides problem analysis and comprehensive assistance regarding third party student AR contracts and state waivers and exemptions. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems. Provides guidance and training to immediate staff and other university constituents. Produces and updates policy and procedure. Participates in Strategic Planning. Serves as a departmental representative in meetings. Manages back off services provided by Student Account Services to include external scholarships, waivers, exemptions, contracts, reconciliation and invoicing. Provides assistance and support for applications such as invoicing portals and custom jobs. Communicates with external entities and builds business relationships to support student access to financial resources. Serves as escalated support in customer service environment.
Attends and presides over other functions within Student Account Services in absence of other Assistant Director at Associate Director and/or Director's request.
Performs other related duties as assigned.Other Specifications
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to manage business functions. Communicates with other University departments, personnel, and other agencies. This position may be designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Up to 40% of this position, over the fiscal year during off-peak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
