- Manage the Accounting Department, coordinating and directing all accounting and financial reporting functions.
- Prepare internal and external financial statements, activity reports, financial forecasts, and the annual budget.
- Coordinate activities with external auditors.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to enhance profitability, including tracking and reporting key metrics.
- Collaborate with department managers to provide accounting reports and analysis using best practices to provide great customer service.
- Ensure the security and appropriate use of funds.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a comparable role
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership and management experience.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel analysis techniques such as Vlookup, pivot tables, and macros.
- Demonstrated experience working with accounting ERP systems. Great Plains General Ledger System experience highly preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Syracuse NY.
