Description
Cedar Grove is currently seeking applicants for our training program in Bremen, Germany. Our partner companies include MSC GERMANY S.A. and CO. KG, Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd., and F.A. Vinnen und Co. (GmbH und Co. KG).


As a shipping merchant in the field of liner shipping, you will be responsible for organizing, planning, and managing the transportation of goods on ships that follow fixed schedules to specific ports.

Depending on the company, you will either acquire transport orders for your own ships or purchase cargo space on ships owned by others.

You will advise clients on the most economical means of transportation, freight costs, insurance, and customs regulations, as well as inform them about transportation options in combined traffic.


For ship handling in the port, you will arrange berths, register ships, monitor the unloading or loading of shipments, check freight documents, and ensure the completeness and integrity of shipments.

You will also handle tasks such as cargo documentation. Before departure, you will organize the supply of fuel, provisions, and other ship supplies. Finally, you will prepare port cost statements, settle accounts with clients, review incoming invoices, and arrange payments.
