Clinical Manager Performance Objectives:


  • Coordination of the daytoday clinical operations of the practice.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels to maintain efficiency of clinical operations.
  • Manages staff daily through adjusting schedules, redirecting staff, answering all clinical questions from medical assistants, motivates and supports clinical staff.
  • Responsible for patient care coverage from desk triage, rooming, pathology logs, lab log, biologics.
  • Responsible for adequate inventory levels and medical supplies.
  • Able to assist physicians with biopsies and surgical procedures such as excisions, ED&C, cryotherapy, laser surgery, etc.
  • Ability to educate patients as required after a physician establishes the treatment plan.
  • Understands ALL clinical roles and ensures all training and compliance is followed on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensures all medical assistants and clinical staff are trained appropriately and thoroughly.
  • Promoting excellent customer service by all levels of the staff.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains office policies and procedures.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains a productive medical team and conducts performance reviews.
  • Ensures patient satisfaction, including troubleshooting when there is a complaint and developing process improvements to prevent recurrences.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with team managers for staff meetings for clinical staff.
  • Ensure communication processes are in place throughout the practice to include all staff and providers so that the flow of information is congruent and consistent to maintain efficiency of operations with all parties.
  • Performs all duties and services in full compliance with Sanova Dermatology Core Values.
  • Perform other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Clinical Manager Position Requirements

  • Two or more years in a supervisory or management position in a clinical setting, dermatology preferred.
  • Bachelor of Biology or Nursing, or similar degree required.
  • Knowledge of regulations related to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and labor law.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Skill in using healthcare software (Nextech) and computer systems.
  • Knowledge of maintaining supplies and equipment for the medical setting.
  • Multitasking skills.
  • Problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge of continuous process improvement concepts and practices
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clinicians, nurses, allied health staff, administrative staff, frontline staff, contractors, governmental agencies, insurance payers, patients, family members of patients, suppliers, and the general public, of all age levels from child to senior citizen.
