    Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Places orders, coordinates aspects of care with other departments, calls codes, and pages as requested.
    Performs needed clerical tasks, including copying, filing, and ordering/stocking supplies.
    Accurately schedules surgery cases and maintains an up to date surgery schedule.
    Serves as a resource to the department for quality/auditing purposes.

    Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

    Documents patient care given.
    Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
    Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
    Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
    Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
    Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision


    Certifications:
    Basic Life Support (BLS)- within 30 days of hire Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) with in 30 days of hire PALS within 30 days of hire Handle with Care - within 30 days of hire Licenses: RN in the state of Kentucky
