- Implement compensation levels and salary ranges for positions. Assess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.
- Review job descriptions, recommend corresponding compensation levels and salary ranges and communicate recommendations in a concise, customer-focused format.
- Manage the compensation benchmarking process, including selection of the appropriate market peers, survey participation timelines and budget.
- Develop and maintain compensation guidelines and best practices to ensure internal equity and competitiveness with the external market.
- Assist in developing and implementing pay strategies to support assigned business unit's requirements. Provide guidance to HR partners regarding pay decisions.
- Prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
- Lead project plans and execute the annual compensation programs effectively and efficiently to meet all key project milestones.
- Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all Annual Compensation Processes to ensure pay practices are competitive and equitable.
- Audit pay practices to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation applicable to wage and hour laws and regulations and internal pay policies; thoroughly document findings and recommend appropriate solutions for compliance.
- Study market compensation trends and practices and provide insights. Network with peer companies to understand industry trends. Develop custom surveys and/or questionnaires and analyze submissions.
- Develop communication plans with leaders to reinforce Zeus' compensation strategy and total reward programs goals and objectives.
- Prepare reports and presentations on pay competitiveness.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration or a related field is required. MBA or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in HR in a compensation role
- Experience designing and implementing a compensation structure
- Knowledge and experience of federal, state, and local laws and regulations affecting compensation and benefits.
- Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated project management and change management skills.
- Advanced Excel skills required. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Oracle HCM preferred.
