Position Description:
The UofL Speed School of Engineering is seeking a candidate to lead the technology solutions team at the Speed School of Engineering.
The Director role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the technology solutions office, which includes four direct reports and a student help-desk team.
The director should be knowledgeable in a wide range of technologies, including Microsoft power platform, SQL, full stack web development, classroom technology, data analysis and analytics, engineering software and research computing.
The Director is a liaison between the Speed School administration and all the technology that supports students, faculty and staff.
This job is focused on IT skills, but we are looking for candidates who possess strong leadership and communication skills, who can learn, think critically and flexibly, be organized, and interface with leadership.
Daily meetings and regular conversations often happen in MS teams but are also expected to happen with a co-located workforce.
Speed Technology Solutions (Speed IT) is a multi-talented team charged with supporting computing infrastructure, class-room technology, web, business processes, and business analytics for the J.B.
The team works with the enterprise systems of the university, but it is a flexible group that innovates and leads with technology solutions.
The team currently consists of a director, two IT and server support staff, a programmer/analyst, a full-stack developer for web/analytics, a graduate research assistant, and a team of undergraduate student workers.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$139,700.00
Target Compensation Minimum:
$93,100.00
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
