    Description


    Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Digital Transformation Principal Engineer is a technical solutions manager, focused on leveraging technology in manufacturing companies to transform business processes, improve visibility, enable the workforce, improve operational agility, quality, and productivity.

    The Principal Engineer conceptualizes, designs, constructs, tests, and implements industrial applications and hardware technologies that enable our customers' Digital Transformation.

    The Principal Engineer is often involved in leading the startup and commissioning for new systems or major updates to existing systems.

    The Principal Engineer is also responsible for overseeing multiple project teams, working with the Project Manager as a Technical Solutions Manager, ensuring robust and quality solutions are developed.

    Requirements B.S.

    in Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited college/universityMinimum of 10 years' experience in software developmentMinimum 6 years' experience developing or leading the development of MES, MOM, or manufacturing applicationsISA-95 expertise and ability to architect manufacturing information solutionsExpertise in all project phases including design, development, and implementationStrong experience with an object oriented programming language and SQLMust have experience with OPC architecture, configuration, and deploymentExperience architecting PLC-based data collection solutionsExperience with customer requirements and specification developmentMust be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quicklyMust be able to work successfully in a matrix structure, focused strongly on customer service and personnel growthMust have experience successfully interacting and working with customers at multiple levels of responsibility in a manufacturing or production environmentMust have solid verbal and written communication skillsMust have a strong work ethic and be willing to travel up to 20% of the timeMust be willing to work in a plant environment up to 20% of the timeSuccessful completion of drug screen and background checkNice to HaveStrong experience with C# .NET & MS SQL ServerExperience with design and development of interfaces with business systems (ERP, WMS, CMMS, etc.)MES platform experience (Rockwell, Siemens, AVEVA, Parsec TrakSYS, Ignition/Sepasoft, etc.)Experience with IIoT, Cloud, MQTT-Spark PlugExperience with SCADA systems, Barcode scanners, RFID, Machine visionAll applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
