    Job Description

    The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and implementing therapy plans for students based on their Individualized Education Plans (IEP's). Collaborating with the IEP team is crucial to ensure goals and skills are met in all settings.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Evaluate and diagnose students with speech and language impairments.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans based on assessments.
    • Provide training to educational team members for program implementation.
    • Supervise Speech and Language Pathology Assistants.
    • Collaborate with educational team members.
    • Participate in team meetings to support students with special needs.
    • Write reports according to IEP standards.
    • Document student performance and maintain databases.
    • Attend IEP and team meetings.
    • Manage scheduling and billing.
    • Ensure proper utilization of Augmentative Communication Devices.
    • Communicate student progress/needs to family and professionals.
    • Maintain therapy materials.
    • Adhere to industry standards and licensure requirements.
    • Work full-time Monday to Friday.
    • Perform other duties as needed.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Masters in Speech Language Pathology.
    • State of Arizona license for Speech-Language Pathologist.
    • Speech-Language Pathologist license from Arizona Department of Education.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
    • Experience with non-verbal students and challenging behaviors.
    • Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
    • Flexibility and creativity.
    • Energetic disposition.
