About the Position


The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversight and supervision of the department's Travel & Procurement Specialists, who collectively manage all procurement, travel, and training reservations for MCAO.

This team secures travel arrangements for victims/witnesses who are testifying in court and detectives who are investigating active cases, registers employees for specialized trainings, and purchases many different goods and services.

We Require

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional procurement experience.
  • Postgraduate degrees or professionallevelrelated experience may substitute for education or experience on a yearforyear basis.
  • Must have the ability to obtain CAPA certification within three months of hire

Job Contributions

  • Train, mentor, and manage the Travel & Procurement Team, overseeing the preparation and accuracy of work completed
  • Review and approve all nonemployee travel, including victims, experts, eyewitnesses, and law enforcement professionals
  • Review and approve all employee training and travel requests
  • Review and approve all posttravel reimbursement requests
  • Liaise between MCAO and the County Office of Procurement Services and Serve as Pcard administrator for MCAO
  • Lead complex procurements for contracted commodities, including competition and impracticable, sole source, and task orders
  • Effectively create proposals for goods and services by conducting research, interviewing customers and vendors, and analyzing and compiling data.
  • Evaluate solicitation responses based on vendor qualifications, price and conformance requirements, and departmental needs
  • Maintain various logs to track requests, renewals, and extensions
  • Advise agency stakeholders on various travel, procurement, and contract policies and functions
Working Conditions

Mostly office setting in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Requires extended periods of sitting while completing computer activities. May be required to drive a personal or County-owned vehicle to travel to and from various County locations.
