- Establish strong relationships with strategic technology vendors supporting Genuine Parts Company.
- Participate in negotiating various software and hardware contracts.
- Develop effective contract negotiation strategies for the technology organization's needs.
- Manage the lifecycle of software and hardware contracts, including tracking renewals.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction based on current spending.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to validate utilization and demand.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking as required.
- Work with the IT VMO team to define and document processes.
- Lead a team within the VMO.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Choose between two work locations at GPC: Duluth or Atlanta office.
- Enjoy a Flexible Work Policy allowing eligible employees to follow a hybrid remote schedule.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Project Management, or related field.
- Previous experience as a project coordinator, data/BI analyst, or similar role.
- 2 years' experience with BI, Analytics, and reporting platforms, with a focus on Cognos being advantageous.
- 2 years' experience with PPM Platforms like Daptiv, Clarity, or Planview is a plus.
- Understanding of project management methodologies.
- Preferably 7+ years of experience in managing TEM, telecommunications, and hardware contracts, including negotiations and procurement.
- Familiarity with complex contracts, licensing rights, and terminology.
- Ability to handle multiple high-priority contracts in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost savings.
- Highly motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team within IT Vendor Management.
- Passion for developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and vendor partners.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with strategic sourcing tools is preferred.
- Leadership experience is highly desirable.

Position Purpose:
The Lead Analyst-VMO Support position involves working closely with the VMO to oversee processes like project intake, status reporting, and compliance with project delivery methodology. Responsibilities also include data collection, analysis, and reporting of project information within the GPC IT Shared Services VMO, as well as managing the Project & Portfolio Management system (PPM), Daptiv.
