- Installing, repairing, troubleshooting, testing, and loading new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, and equipment.
- Supporting the Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation (RDTE) electrical requirements.
- Uses all types of shop and hand tools and test equipment associated with the electrical trade such as meggers, oscilloscopes, protective relay testers, multi-meters, watt meters, output, resistance to ground and other electrical characteristics.
- Design and set-up the testing scenario, equipment and integrated electrical components to result in a successful test.
- Determine and place distribution panels, boxes, fittings and connections and install wiring, couplings, conduit, relays, fixtures, transformers and other electrical devices including electrical service entrances.
- Makes engineering designed modifications on collective control systems.
- Installs, modifies, repairs, troubleshoots, loads, and tests new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance by inspecting, servicing, cleaning, and repairing both synchronous and induction electric motors ranging from fractional to 200 H.P. and A.C. or D.C. generators.
