Job Summary
FSI is looking to hire a TJC Officer to join our team. The TJC Officer maintains expert competence in accreditation (e.g. TJC, CARF, OIG, CAP as applicable) and regulatory standards. Communicates relevant changes to appropriate leaders and staff. Facilitates assessments, develops, implements and evaluates corrective action plans. Services as the organizations liaison with regulatory agencies focused on care and patient safety.


Responsibilities **include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide overall direction necessary to ensure that clinical services are provided in accordance with standards established through state and federal regulations and JCAHO accreditation standards.
  • Provide administrative direction and support through collaboration with entity leadership and staff for activities related to accreditation and regulatory affairs, patient safety and performance improvement.
  • Serve as the organizational liaison with the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Serv as an expert resource on accreditation and regulatory issues to staff and physicians.
  • Determine fiscal requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations, monitor verify and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds.
  • Develop and evaluate the goals of the office and prioritize the work of the office in accordance with the strategic objectives of the facility.
  • Analyze policies for internal consistency and compliance, ensure optimal compliance with accreditation requirements. Analyze compliance with accreditation standards and policies through the evaluation of information.
  • Communicate requirements and standards in a timely manner to the leadership. Translate standards, requirements and policies into terms or processes meaningful to the facility.
  • Direct formulation of responses to accreditation findings and inquiries.
  • Provide consultation to relevant task forces, quality action teams and committees to ensure ongoing compliance with standards.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
  • Reports directly to the CMM and to the Regional Project Manager.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree in health administration or a healthrelated field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience.
  • Shall possess strong leadership and team building skills.
  • Administrative and clinical experience is preferred
  • Experience with analysis of accreditation standards and policies required.
  • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Must have computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain NACI/LAC clearance after hire.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
