    Description
    Reporting organisationally to the Head of Human Rights, the Accessibility Manager will be a key member of the FIFA26 Sustainability & Human Rights team, This role will be responsible for supporting the successful implementation of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Sustainability & Human Rights Strategy with a particular focus on accessibility and inclusivity.
    THE POSITION

    The main responsibilities and oversights of the Accessibility Manager for the FIFA World Cup 2026TM will be to:
    • Manage the delivery of relevant and key Sustainability & Human Rights Strategy initiatives including:
      • Ensure an accessible FIFA World Cup 2026TM for people with disabilities and people with limited mobility.
      • Audit official FIFA World Cup 2026TM sites in compliance with FIFA's accessibility requirements.
      • Ensure improvements to fulfil those requirements are implemented.
      • Work with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure accessible services and guidance are delivered for participants, attendees and workforce.
      • Develop and deliver accessibility training and awareness raising for internal and external stakeholders.
      • Manage the accessibility dimensions of the volunteer program.
    • Liaise with and/or support Host Cities and other organizations in Canada, Mexico and United States and internal stakeholders in their delivery of initiatives that:
      • Facilitate accessibility for people with disabilities and people with limited mobility across physical infrastructure, public transport and services in Canada, Mexico and United States.
      • Enhance local accessibility expertise to deliver the FIFA World Cup 2026TM and foster the development of accessibility in the sports and events industries in Canada, Mexico and United States.
      • Ensure that accessible infrastructure and services used for the FIFA World Cup 2026TM become legacy best practices across the Host Countries.
    • As a member of the FIFA World Cup 2026TM Sustainability & Human Rights Team:
      • Integrate sustainable procurement practices into the supply chain to facilitate a welcoming and accessible tournament experience for participants, attendees and workforce.
      • Support the maintenance of an effective sustainability management system for the tournament in line with the requirements of ISO 20121, including the development and implementation of action plans and operational processes, capacity building, stakeholder engagement and communication, monitoring and evaluation of performance, reporting and knowledge transfer.
      • Work closely with FIFA Human Rights & Anti-Discrimination Department and relevant teams within the FIFA World Cup 2026TM Entity to deliver jointly managed projects and activities.
      • Assist the planning and coordination of meetings, workshops and site visits.

    YOUR PROFILE
    • Bachelor degree or equivalent in social sciences, inclusive design, human rights, equality, diversity and/or international relations site visits.
    • A minimum of 5 years of work experience implementing accessibility programs related to physical infrastructure and services for people with disabilities and people with limited mobility;
    • A minimum of two years working in sports and/or events field, with a preference for venue work experience;
    • A deep passion for accessibility, driven to leveraging the unique value of mega-sporting events to contribute to sustainable development goals and the promotion of responsible business practices;
    • Practical work familiarity with legislation on disability in the Host Countries and international accessibility standards for people with disabilities and people with limited mobility;
    • Experience in implementing accessibility programs in stadiums or arenas;
    • Experience working with local governments and other governmental actors in the field of accessibility in the Host Countries;
    • In-depth knowledge of social responsibility issues, particularly in the context of mega-sporting events;
    • Understanding of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), Corporate Social Responsibility ISO 26000 and / or AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standards and;
    • International work experience.
    • Fluent in English (verbal and written). Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
    • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
