    We are in search of dedicated and experienced pipelayers to join our construction teams. As a pipelayer at HEI, you will play a crucial role in the execution of our construction projects. Whether it's roadways, bridges, or water infrastructure, your work will have a direct impact on the success and timeliness of our projects

    Key Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Set proper grades and elevations i.e. flowline, grade stick, string line
    • Check slopes for conformance to grading elevations, using levels or lasers
    • Connect bell and spigot, sewer and water pipelines
    • Cover pipes with aggregate and native material and compact
    • Hand dig bell holes to verify existing utility locations
    • Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools
    • Install and repair water, storm-water and sewer structures and pipe systems within trench shoring shields
    • Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisors
    • Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors
    • Ability to take direction from the Foreman and provide support to peers
    • Work safely while adhering to HEI requirements and OSHA regulations
    • Maintain dependability and responsibility to be at work on time
    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • 1 year experience is preferred; but not required
    • General knowledge of underground utility work including materials, methods, and tools involved in the installation
    • Track record of performing similar tasks safely and accurately
    • Ability to repetitively lift and carry at least 60 lbs. on a consistent basis
    • Must have flexibility to work nights and weekends

    Pay: $22+ per hour; Based on Experience

    Job Type: Full-time, Nonexempt
