ION is searching for an experienced Project Manager with a technical / engineering background to support the commercialization of our technology from design to operating large-scale, commercial CO2 capture facilities worldwide. Position Summary

The Project Manager will contribute to and help manage a team of engineers on various projects aimed at achieving commercial integration of carbon capture facilities. This position will require a hands-on individual with capability to follow the standard Project Management Professional (PMP) methodology to produce and maintain high-quality schedules, track risks, and assist with budget oversight. They will be expected to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high-quality work product. Additional roles and responsibilities include:

• Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
• Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them through coordination with their supervisors as required.
• Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.
• Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
• Communicating with executives to keep the project aligned with their goals.
• Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
• Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change.
• Understanding technical concepts to generate and review reports, for both internal and external audiences (including formatting, punctuation, grammar, syntax, etc.)
• Developing and maintaining project risk matrix for all assigned projects.
• Representing ION with key project partners and customers to facilitate effective project execution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading project teams.
• Detail oriented with exceptional analytical skills.
• Excellent ability to quickly assess problems and formulate strategies to overcome issues.
• Works with a sense of urgency and demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate/translate complex technical information into meaningful information for non-technical individuals.
• Skilled at maintaining positive relationships with clients, actively listening to their needs, and providing timely and effective solutions. Able to represent the company professionally and build trust with external stakeholders.
• Proactive nature; stays abreast of advancements in technologies, engineering standards, regulations, etc.
• Proficient in MS Project.

Preferences

• Solid understanding of methods and techniques used in CO2 capture from flue gas.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
• Proposal writing experience: demonstrated ability to create compelling and well-structured proposals.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a project management/engineering role.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

What We Offer:

• The salary for this position generally ranges between $100,000-$120,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs and may vary above and below the stated amounts.
• Additionally, this position will receive a grant of stock options and is eligible for an annual bonus based on performance of the individual and the company.

Working Conditions:

This position is primarily in office but will also include industrial settings (power stations, refineries, and/or fabrication shops). The work environment and physical demand characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The successful candidate will perform primarily sedentary office duties with occasional travel to other offices or customer sites. They may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds and may be required to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position working standard business hours. This position may require the flexibility to work diverse schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays. On occasions this position requires travel.
