For 60 years our Waltham Petcare Science Institute has been advancing science to better understand pet health.

As part of our business development, we are creating a new position in our accounting & finance department.

Varied, challenging tasks in an international working environment:
support for accounting integration of new business units, US GAAP & local GAAP, daily operations etc.

Work Experience

What are we looking for?
Business studies with a focus on accounting, possibly CPA or training as an accountant with additional qualification as an international accountant
Several years of professional experience in accounting with an international focus Experience in an auditing company is an advantage
Sound knowledge in the areas of bookkeeping, accounting, and tax law
Experience in the preparation of balance sheets in accordance with local
- and US-GAAP
Experience in working with ERP/reporting systems.
Very good written and spoken French and English
Structured and independent way of working
Good MS Office skills, especially good Excel skills
Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
High level of self-initiative
What will be your key responsibilities?
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for various companies in accordance with local GAAP and US GAAP
Determination and documentation of provisions and accruals
Determination and documentation of balance sheet accounts, receivables, and liabilities
Booking and maintenance of fixed assets, loans, and leasing contracts
Reconciliation, analysis, and evaluation of balance sheet accounts as part of account reconciliations
Reporting the results for the period to the parent company
Performing, analyzing and documenting closing entries in accordance with internal controls guidelines
Integration of new companies into the existing closing processes
Participation in cross-departmental optimization projects
