- The Contractor acts as receptionist for the office, receiving visitors and referring them through proper channels to obtain information.
- The Contractor provides new patients intake materials and enters patient information into electronic medical systems.
- The Contractor answers phone calls and maintains necessary forms and handouts.
- The Contractor independently deals with patients, assists with utilizing community resources, and provides written reports on activities.
- The Contractor responds to emergency situations, coordinates patient activities, and ensures patient confidentiality.
- The Contractor participates in patient case management sessions and coordinates recreational therapy.
- The Contractor manages supplies, promotes teamwork, maintains patient record confidentiality, and attends staff meetings.
- All patients' privacy and dignity are assured.
- The Contractor maintains professional communication with staff and performs other related duties as assigned.
- Must have at least twenty-four (24) months of direct patient care experience within the last 48 months.
- Certifications required: BLS/CPR/AED.
- Must have cultural sensitivity training and proof of vaccinations.
- Must be able to physically complete all requirements set forth by Indian Health Service.
- Contractor must pass Medication Aide training to administer approved medication under a nurse's supervision.
- Some walking and standing are required. You may have to lift and carry equipment weighing approximately 10-15 pounds.
- Most of the work is performed indoors.
- Requires standing periodically, as well as stooping, kneeling, and bending.
