Rothe is seeking a Project Manager in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract.

eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM).

From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing NASA TV segments, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world.

This role is located at NASA HDQ in Washington D.C. (Hybrid role)

  • Provide support for planning and coordination of events, conferences, and meetings for NASA HQ and GSFC offices and organizations both onsite and off which may require dedicated support for the entire length of multiday events and meetings.
  • Maintain and follow standard procedures for obtaining advance coordination of IT support which adhere to IT security, Section 508 conformance, federal regulations, and Agency regulations.
  • Assist with the preparation of event, conference, and meeting materials and develop work products that adhere to standards of federal web publishing, IT security and Section 508 conformance along with all other applicable federal, Agency and departmental regulations.
  • Serve as the IT expert for events requiring special IT support such as audiovisual services, event recording and transcription support.
  • Provide support with the testing, troubleshooting, and configuration of IT hardware and software as well as interfaces with other systems or facilities.
  • Must be able to perform setup, configuration, test and upon requests, facilitate meetings or events in the conference rooms or executive offices using integrated Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface for peripheral appliances, including webcams, Logitech, PolyStudio and Owl Pro devices.
  • Plan and conduct dry runs for events, conferences, and meetings that are coordinated with Government and with other enterprise service teams.
  • Document and provide reports as required for projects/events event support is provided for.
  • Facilitate a customer survey appropriate to the work delivered.
  • Manage survey feedback and report to the government along with action plans to enhance future support.
  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 audio and video support which may includes the install, configure and testing of video teleconferencing hardware.
  • Provide scheduling coordination and be able to technically facilitate various web teleconferencing platforms, for senior executive level customers and staff.
  • Provide backup event support to the Space Operations Center.
  • Provide backup support to the Customer Relationship Management Team.


Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Must have excellent customer service skills and can establish and foster close business relationships.
  • Must be able to optimize the end users meeting experiences by using the technologies available in the desktop video teleconferencing systems.
  • Professionally communicate in technical and nontechnical language as required with Agency senior executives and their support staff.
  • Record meetings using desktop software and perform basic video editing functions.
  • Demonstration of intermediate level writing skills to include content, context, and accuracy for instructional purposes and in consideration of the audience.
  • Outstanding Organization Skills.
  • Strong Analytical Skills.
  • Able to work well independently, proactive and as a team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Lync, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box.

Education:

Position requires a BA/BS Degree, no experience required, but NASA experience a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting NASA/HQ IT needs or services.
  • Familiar with NASA OCIO processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Familiar with IT Service Management and customer support best practices.
