    Job DescriptionTitle: Superintendent

    Job Description: As a Jobsite Superintendent you will oversee all aspects of assigned project from commencement to completion. You will manage these projects in accordance to the Superintendent Milestone program in a manner that exceeds our customer's expectations and ensures that our work adheres to all company policies, safety policies, and OSHA mandated requirements. This position reports to the Project Manager and Sr. Project Manager.

    Responsibilities

    Strategy & Planning:


    • Complete Phase 1 objectives as per the "Superintendent Milestone" program:


    • Review Scope, plans and layouts provided by the Project Manager


    • Review project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements contract scope and performance standards


    • Review project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements


    • Review and scopes, plans, layouts, and other job pertinent information provided by the Project Manager

    Operations:


    • Maintain the projects schedule by monitoring the project's progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.


    • Controls the project plan by reviewing the design and specifications to the plan and schedule and changes as needed; recommending actions.


    • Review and generate weekly look ahead of production; capture material needs on monthly order requests.


    • Attend weekly jobsite coordination meetings with the General contractor to discuss scheduling/production/safety.


    • Perform quality control for the work that is being performed.


    • Communicate with the Project manager regularly regarding ASI's, RFI and materials.


    • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions


    • Identify conflicts in the construction process and communicate to the project Managers for resolution.


    • Identify areas of work outside of contracted scope.


    • Maintain Daily log of activities on the jobsite.


    • Perform job progress and punch list identification for job completion.


    • Experience dealing with General Contractors


    • Advanced material knowledge


    • Experience with inspectors

    Job Requirements

    Knowledge and Experience:


    • 2+ years of supervisory/foreman experience


    • 5+ years construction industry


    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills


    • Exceptional documentation skills


    • Experience in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment preferred

    Preferred but not required:


    • College Diploma/Degree in construction management or related field

    Skills


    • Basic computer skills


    • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings


    • Working knowledge of N.E.C and C.E.C knowledge


    • Good management skills


    • Good negotiation skills


    • Great leadership skills


    • Solves problems effectively


    • Well organized


    • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of information issues as required


    • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly


    • Ability to present ideas


    • Highly self-motivated and directed


    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment


    • Maintains a clean and safe working environment


    • Successful completion of a pre-employment screening

    Work Conditions:


    • Standing and walking for extended periods of time


    • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components


    • Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl


    • The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds

    Reporting Relationship:


    • This Position reports to the Project Manager/Regional Senior Project Manager
