Ascend is looking for a full-time, pediatric-passionate Speech Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellow to provide therapy services to children in the San Francisco Bay Area
Not interested in a school setting? We serve kids in various settings, such as home-based, outpatient clinics, and our inclusion preschools.
Ascend is a multidisciplinary company that provides Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy to children in the format that suits them best.
We offer mentorship/support and the ability to learn, grow, and make a difference to our school-based team that serves hundreds of kids across CA.
Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' specific needs
Provide therapy sessions to improve clients' speech and language skills
Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and educators, to develop comprehensive care plans
Provide guidance and support to clients' families and caregivers
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client's progress and treatment outcomes
Requirements:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
Previous experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist preferred
Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
