Position Summary: Responsible for the safety and security of the hospital buildings, property, patients, visitors, and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide for the safety needs for all patients, visitors and staff of SCH-
Protect the property of all patients, visitors and staff of SCH-
Respond to all emergency situations at SCH and assist local fire and law enforcement agencies-
Enforce SCH policies and procedures, investigate and report any potential hazards-
Provide general assistance to those in need-
Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits-
Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct
Required Qualifications:
Education and Training:
High School Graduate or equivalent
At least 20 years of age
One year security experience, or equivalent required within the past five years, preferable in the healthcare setting and previous computer experience
Previous ASP Tactical Baton, Pepper Spray/Foam, Defensive Tactics, Restraint certifications preferred
Valid IL Driver's LicenseWork Shift Details:Nights, Works weekends and days off may vary.
