We are seeking a Sales Development Representative for our Bar & Restaurant division to execute a new business development plan to grow and expand within new and existing customers in addition to target categories and verticals with specific messaging for lead generation.


This position can be remote or work in our D.C. office.

As our Sales Development Representative, you'll support Questex's success by:

  • Work with team leaders to execute a new business development plan to grow and expand within new and existing Customers.
  • Achieving assigned lead generation/sales targets
  • Working with team to maintain and update accurate salesforce reporting.
  • Working with Sales Director to maintain accurate forecasting for monthly internal calls.
  • Collaborating with team to pull client reports post campaign and delivering reports to clients.
  • Creating post event wrap
- up reports for sponsors/exhibitors/suppliers

  • Working with Show Director on key partnerships and execution of deliverables
  • Working with Sales Director and Marketing team to target categories and verticals with specific messaging for lead generation.
  • Building and executing a retention and new business development strategy to grow and expand within new and existing Customers including upsetting and crossselling.
  • Support team achieving revenue targets, proactively responding to inbound inquiries and selfgenerated leads.
  • Build your understanding of and keep up to date with market conditions, trends and competitors' products.
  • Liaise with colleagues to build and keep your knowledge of new and existing products, services and solutions up to date.
  • Share news and insight with all internal colleagues.
  • Proactively develop yourself, keep abreast of the changing landscape and have a personal development plan.
  • Work on projects across the business as and when required.

What we will love about your background:

  • A minimum of one year (1) of inside sales experience
  • Individual must have strong writing skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, and be detail oriented.
  • Previous experience selling integrated media solutions (events/online)
  • Strong relationshiprapport building skills.
  • Great at setting conference call meetings/appointments
  • Consultative sales savvy and the ability to work with customers to identify and meet their needs, goals and have an achievementdriven mindset.
