    JOB SUMMARY:


    The DevOps Automation Engineer provides technical guidance and performs tasks related to configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines using various tools and applications while supporting DoD RMF best practices.


    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Helps team analyze and demonstrate application build stages and processes from end to end to improve automation for continuous delivery of program components within a modern framework using Kubernetes, container services, and automation tools.

    Assists with evaluating pipeline activities and processes, implements tools and develops procedures for streamlining delivery activities.

    Provides engineering support for VMware Tanzu implementation using tools like Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Harbour, Nexus, Helm, Trivia, TravisCI, Carvel, and Ansible.

    Provide engineering support for container-based tools, configurations, and clusters
    Engage and contribute to team activities that follow the agile format
    Manage and test deployment configurations in yaml format
    Manage, monitor, and improve platform and cluster resources
    Experience in developing and building CICD pipelines
    Recent experience working directly with build automation tools like Bamboo, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins, and TravisCI.
    Experience in software development – having an understanding of the development process from end-to-end (use of git, package managers, remote repositories, branching strategies, scripting, and dependency management)
    Experience with Kubernetes and container deployments working in yaml and linux command line tools (CLI)
    Has applicable experience in a developer's role and can contribute to improving the developer's experience.

    Can demonstrate capabilities in industry best practices surrounding software builds and CICD pipeline management that may include: unit tests, security scans, artifact repository usage, maven and gradle, and use of software development tooling.

    Proficient in yaml, unix shell scripting, powershell, or similar command-line interface proficiencies.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is required
    Associates or Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS Engineering, Computer Science, or Math); or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
    U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions at Zivaro, due to security clearance and government/federal contracts held by Zivaro.
