Job Summary/Basic Function

  • The Success Coach will serve as the academic success coach for students in the Gateway Scholars program, a provisional admission program for firstyear students at Millersville University, and, in consultation with the college success coaches, also provide support to other students in risk categories across all academic colleges. This person will report to the Associate Provost of for Student Success and Dean of University College. The position supports undergraduate student retention, persistence, and the transition to the university experience.

Annual Salary: $53,360.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two years' experience in academic coaching, advising, or directly related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
- understand the specialized academic needs of provisional admission students.
- work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
- design and implement successful events, programs, and presentations.
- provide excellent customer service.
