We are currently looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team and work with our customer; an innovative electric vehicle manufacturer at their facilities in Irvine, CA.

  • Friday 7:30 am 4:30 pm:

100% Onsite in Irvine, CA and Normal, IL when travelling:

Travel Required to Normal Illinois about 4 months/year or so (3 weeks or so every couple months)

Responsibilities:

Maintain a high-quality relationship with the manufacturing team they are supporting:

-
Support manufacturing Build in Quality initiative by providing a last line of defense inspection of the product for their area:

-
Execute product and process validation / inspection plans:

-
Identify and contain suspect defective material:

-
Have the potential to utilize advanced metrology equipment to control processes and identify defects:

-
Inspect, test or measure components, products and materials being produced
:

-
Initiate and participate in quality related continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects:

-
Develop, maintain, and improve the quality culture within responsible area:

-
May perform other duties as assigned Potential business travel to support product /process development at company and supplier locations:

Requirements:


Minimum requirements:

-
Manufacturing/assembly/quality process and/or automotive repair and/or mechanical experience (+2 years
preferred):

-
Clean driving record (3 years with tickets or at fault accidents):

-
Problem solving experience:

-
Customer quality expectations understanding:

-
Good oral and written communication skills:

-
Knowledge of statistical process control / control charts:

-
High school education or equivalent (Bachelor Degree preferred):

-
2+ years of manufacturing, assembly, or quality experience
:

-
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
:

-
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited Standardization exists
:

-
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form:

Communicate in a high-pressure environment:

Be able to pass a criminal background screening, drug test, employment verification and education verification.

Pay:
