Job Summary:
SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other unrelated duties may be assigned.
Perform the duties of shipping or receiving as required; ensures the proper packaging and shipment of product to our customers, or the receipt of material from our suppliers.
Prepare products from packing and inspection, stock, or production areas for shipment to customers utilizing proper packaging for the material involved.
Receive shipments of any material to the plant; processes shipments received through the warehouse.Operates forklift and hand carts to assist movement of materials in and out of the warehouse areas, supplies materials from warehouse and other receiving areas to locations in the plant and office.
Prepares bills of lading, routing, etc.in accordance with customer orders or instructions; as required segregate shipment as to carrier, obtain weights, marks packages, affixes label, etc.
as appropriate or as instructed. Keeps work area and materials neat and orderly. Performs related duties relative to this title as assigned by the supervisor.
Receives orders and instructions form supervisor; either moves materials to or from manufacturing, warehouse or office areas utilizing a cart or forklift.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree, or one to three months related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The employee must be proficient in U.S. English language which includes speaking, reading and writing. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business texts, customer documents, technical procedures or governmental and safety regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and suppliers. Excellent written and oral communications skills as well as interpersonal skills. Capable and comfortable in leading training sessions and formal presentations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages; ability to interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Pay:
From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
