- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Secretarial Assistant III. Reporting directly to Budget Manager II, this position provides administrative support to full and parttime faculty (assigned 1220 faculty).
- Assists with course preparation, evaluation, and research via the Internet and other modern search avenues
- Makes travel arrangements
- Prepares expense reports
- Procures expenses, as required
- Composes routine correspondence,
- Assists in the preparation of classroom materials and uses office technology and software
- Serves as first line of assistance to assigned professors working in a teamoriented and collaborative environment

Minimum Education and Experience
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of modern office administration, organization, coordination, facilitation, bookkeeping and report writing.
- Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, and WordPerfect Software.
- Working knowledge of electronic mail, file sharing, calendaring, and collaboration tools.
- Technical ability to perform all tasks, as well as any new technology.
