The Position


The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) motivates and organizes our team of Customer Associates while ensuring customer satisfaction, safety, product quality, security & compliance within the store.

One of their main focuses is being responsible for compliantly leading the dispensary's inventory activities that include receiving and recording new product, moving product within the dispensary as needed and effectively monitoring supply to ensure there are no shortages.

Also, the ASM will work collaboratively with the Store Manager (SM) and independently when the SM is not on-site, and is able to follow through with the overall operations of the store.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Store Operations

  • Lead and support the Customer Associate team to deliver legendary service
  • Maintain store compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Oversee security measures and safety compliance
  • Assist in verifying order deliveries for accuracy
  • Managing cash handling procedures and record keeping while ensuring accuracy of all transactions, deposits, and records
  • Assist with required paperwork and state tracking system recording
  • Complete and appropriately delegate tasks assigned during scheduled shift
  • Maintain open communication with the management team and other coworkers
  • Work with the SM to onboard and train new Customer Associates.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels as well as keeping track of expiring products and promoting sales as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized store
  • Additional duties as assigned by management
Inventory Responsibilities

  • Inventory recording, compliance, and accuracy in all phases of operation
  • Monitor delivery transactions (shipping and receiving, transfers)
  • Ensure inventory records are always accurate
  • Conduct inspections with Dispensary Store Manager
  • Follow written audit programs and physical inventory to ensure integrity of company records
  • Log receipts and documentation to ensure accurate inventory accounts
  • Assist in scheduling of inventory and compliance personnel as required
  • Perform system adjustments as required and conduct and/or participate in analysis of root cause for the adjustments. Help determine, initiate, and execute subsequent corrective actions
  • Collect, audit, and file required paperwork to ensure state compliance
  • Manage fulfillment of all orders
  • Restock day storage inventory from the vault
  • Keep vault organized and clean to company standard
  • Support required daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly inventory audits and reconciliations.
Sales & Customer Service

  • Provide and inspire retail staff to deliver legendary customer service
  • Maintain indepth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industrywide product knowledge
  • Accurate use and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Verification of proper paperwork, documentation, and ID for customers
  • Provide customer issue resolutions
  • Assist customers in making the right product choices by developing and maintaining product knowledge and how different methods of consumption affect our customers

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • Cannabis experience, preferred
  • 23 years Inventory Management experience preferred
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role in a retail setting, specifically with POS business operations required
  • Must be proactive, have strong work ethic and pay great attention to detail
  • Have strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
  • Open to constructive and developmental feedback
  • High level of interpersonal skills in a fastpaced environment
  • Able to meet timelines consistently and effectively work under pressure, often working cross functionally
Additional Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Must pass all required background checks
  • Must possess a valid driver's license or state ID
  • Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance). This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over, and/or crouching
