We are located in Cerritos, CA. This position reports to the Managing Director.


Responsibilites:

  • Actively involved in the development and execution of planning, annual planning, and shortterm planning in coordination with the local management team; supporting the profitable growth of the PIL stateoftheart facility located in Cerritos.
  • Manage and coach the team in Operations, Inventory and Purchasing assigned to this position.
  • Work closely with Sales, Product management, HR and Finance teams to develop appropriate plans to ensure that monthly, quarterly and annual goals are met.
  • Focus on safety, operational output, productivity, ontime delivery performance and the quality of the PIL products.
  • Provide oversight of data accuracy to support the company's decisionmaking process and further improve scheduling tools.
  • Provide support and leadership to the operational organization in support of established operational goals and our becoming an "Employer of Choice".
  • Appy all Palfinger best practices, processes, and systems.
  • Be a transformation leader working actively to bring the current organization & structure under PIL.
  • Support the transition from Legacy ERP data and practices to SAGE ERP.
  • Successfully lead and implement the full usage of ERP from order initiation through the distribution of liftgates and parts. Including effecient sourcing and planning, driving an effective resource utilization, and accurate reporting of operational metrics.
  • Report KPIs, define targets and work to achieve them.
  • Monitor OSMI monthly and implement action plan to minimize and reduce the obsolete amount.
  • Develop budgets or approve expenditures for supplies, materials, or personnel, ensuring that materials, labor, or equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline strongly preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Ten plus years operations management in a low volume, high mix manufacturing organization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, coaching, and training.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies implementation is desired.
  • Demonstrated experience building, managing teams, coaching, and training.
  • Experience with facilitating meetings with employees and leaders to discuss, work progress, goals and resolve challenges/delays.
  • High level ERP knowledge, preferably SAGE experience and proficiency.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience to influence others and get results. Ability to see the bigpicture and understand needs of manager and corporation.
  • High level computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including advanced excel functions and develop presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Experience designing and implementing workflows, controls, and procedures.
  • Experience preparing and delivery presentations and communicating with all levels of employees.
  • Demonstrated experience with transitioning product production from external vendors to internal and new external vendors.
  • Experience managing multiple sites.
  • Ability to travel about 15% to Council Bluffs, IA and Trenton, NJ.
  • Ability to travel internationally, preferred.

Salary Range:
$120,000 - $135,000 per year
