    Description


    LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer with specialized experience in airfields and airport runways to join our dynamic team in Orlando, FL.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, particularly in the design, construction, and maintenance of airfield infrastructure.

    This role requires expertise in water runoff management and experience working with large land areas exceeding 10 acres.


    Responsibilities:
    Lead the design and development of airfield and runway projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    Conduct site evaluations and assessments to determine project feasibility and requirements.
    Develop comprehensive engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for airfield construction and renovation projects.
    Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to deliver projects on time and within budget.
    Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
    Conduct thorough analyses and evaluations of water runoff systems to mitigate environmental impact and ensure compliance with regulations.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Florida or ability to obtain within six months.
    Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on airfield and runway projects.
    Extensive knowledge of FAA regulations, guidelines, and standards pertaining to airfield design and construction.
    Proven experience in water runoff management and drainage design for large land areas.
    Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
    Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
