    Description

    The Division of Medical Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking Assistant Clinical Research Coordinators (ACRCs) to provide administrative and research support for faculty and the division.

    ACRCs will assist in the collection and analysis of clinical data and/or the coordination of research studies. ACRCs work under the direction and supervision of their faculty and the Medical Physics division manager.

    Duties include:
    50% Research


    • Perform clerical duties in the preparation of regulatory documents. Maintain all forms and documents, including consent forms and master subject logs. File all appropriate correspondence. Assist in the preparation of IRB protocol documents and grant applications.
    • Perform research duties and projects as applicable in collaboration with faculty and other researchers.
    • Extract data from source documents for research studies as directed. Collect data for retrospective database studies and complete case report forms. Perform data analysis as directed by faculty and other laboratory members.
    • Assist in the preparation and publication of research abstracts and manuscripts by working with biostatisticians, residents, and faculty to analyze completed data and write up research findings.
    50% Administrative


    • Compose and draft presentations, course handouts, grants, conferences, seminars, and reports as needed. Create, maintain, modify, and/or ensure accuracy of content in various documents, displays, reports, brochures, social media, and/or websites.
    • Serve as admin contact for respective labs and faculty, including ordering and maintaining equipment and supplies. May include managing one or more faculty calendars.
    • Process a variety of complex financial transactions, including submitting expense reimbursements and purchasing orders for faculty and their laboratory. Trouble shoot and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
    • Perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating complex conferences, seminar, and/or events, including arranging with vendors for services, producing and distributing materials, and administering logistics.
    • Assist in the onboarding of postdocs and graduate students from the respective labs as needed.
    • Support and assist with other Division activities and operations as needed.
    Duties may vary based on faculty's research and other duties may also be assigned based on needs.


    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Four year college degree in a related field.
    • Prior clinical or research experience, preferably in biosciences, medical physics, or a related field.
    • Experience with project coordination.
    • Experience with University related research policies and procedures.
    • For some positions, coding experience and knowledge is desired.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
    Two year college degree and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

    • General knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications
    • Demonstrated success in following through and completing projects

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

    • Frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat and use fine light/fine grasping.
    • Occasionally sit, reach above shoulders, perform desk based computer tasks, use a telephone and write by hand, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
    • Rarely kneel, crawl, climb ladders, grasp forcefully, sort and file paperwork or parts, rarely lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh 40 pounds or more.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    The expected pay range for this position is $25.48 to $31.25 per hour.
